We are seeking a QA Engineer to contribute and execute our quality assurance strategy as we set out to digitally transform maritime operations. In this key role, you will define, implement, and execute a comprehensive QA strategy across all SmartSea applications. You will champion test automation, drive best practices, and build a full-scale QA function from the ground up—delivering quality and compliance in a fast-paced, high-impact, and regulated tech environment.

  • Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts (manual and automated).
  • Lead end-to-end testing efforts, including functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other QA engineers to understand requirements and deliver high-quality software.
  • Develop and maintain test automation frameworks and integrate them into the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and document defects and performance issues.
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and promote best practices in testing and quality assurance.
  • Participate in design and code reviews from a quality perspective.
  • Ensure compliance with industry quality standards and security requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance or testing roles.
  • Strong understanding of modern software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban).
  • Proficient in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit).
  • Experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
  • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling) would be a plus.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
  • Familiarity with ITIL (Foundation certification or hands‑on use of Incident, Problem and Change processes) would be a plus.
  • A proactive and ownership-driven mindset.
  • Ability to work and drive results independently or as part of a cross-functional team in a collaborative manner.
  • Excellent analytical, debugging, and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Passion for product quality and user experience.
